There were some really interesting lists of deities in this book I also respect any author who is prepared to tackle such an elusive subject, then self publish I m sure it takes considerable pluck That said, the book contained a number of myth retellings which didn t sit well alongside the stronger historical content especially a tale on Boudicca The author did not credit any sources, nor include his own bio Why I wanted to see some illustrations any Might have benefitted from a professional edit e.g to remove repetition.

This is a text that resembles what we find in Wikipedia No references, no connection and full of presuppositions This is not even a good book for children to start their studies on the matter And, for adults, I don t understand why all the praise in the reviews Maybe I read the bad version of the book I regret that I have bought four other titles from this collection It does not worth the money to buy it.

This is a good book if you are looking for the names and domains of the different deities But, if you are looking for the stories, personalities, and information about the deities I would suggest looking at something different.

What a great way to learn about Roman Mythology Clayton takes a subject which because of its span could be rather boring and makes it quite interesting I knew a bit before about how the Romans borrowed mythology and gods from many of cultures the Greeks, the Etruscans, etc and made them their own, but I still learned about this A very interesting book about Roman Mythology An interesting and educational read, check it out.
