This concept just doesn t work To get my five year old to read it, I had to tell him that we d been hired to check a book for babies to make sure everything in it was right Otherwise, he was going to refuse to read a card format book with for babies written on the front. But some of the words were rather tricky for him to read combining , medicines , certain I think expecting anyone younger to read it is expecting too much So, what age is this book actually aimed at Then how much about organic chemistry can you really fit onto 24 card faces each with one cartoon and 3 9 words per face The choice as to what to include is all wrong at any level, but especially for a small child. There s no attempt to weave a story through it, there are no characters and so many missed opportunities For example, there s a sketch of a methane molecule The lead character which the book doesn t have ought to be farting on this page then kids would be in hysterics and learn something Instead it s boring and the content flies past without reaching its target.

Absolute drivel Content is half a dozen sentences that wont make a blind bit of sense to any child regardless of age Nearly six ponds for half a dozen sentences, a bit of cardboard and a few drawings of a a ball or two What an absolute con We bought three different books in this series for our grandson, and all three will be returned to shame on you for selling this rubbish at such a price Had we paid one pound for all three, I would have felt hard done by.

This book is great and you will love it If you haven t heard of IUPAC please stop reading here so you can finish reading this on a high.My gripe is one that 99% of the readers would probably overlook, though a few of you may understand I just don t get why the authors didn t use the standard IUPAC CPK colouring of atoms hydrogen, carbon, oxygen and nitrogen This surely wouldn t have escaped your attention and just can t understand why you wouldn t have followed them, unless you thought they weren t fun enough How did you screw this up so bad How cool would it have been to follow up this book with a molecular model kit that actually matched the colours It would have meant basic memorisation about colouring and number of bonds would have been factually relevant too Why Chris. why For the love of the Chemistry children This oversight has me on the hinge of literally Breaking Bad

Je recommande pleinement ce livre et les autres de la s rie tout parent ou tuteur I have become a real fan of these books, and so has my son Although he is still a bit young to fully enjoy them, they start very simple, and I am convinced they will help him through the early stages of schooling. Each book in the series starts from the same concept point of a ball , something that most children can relate to, and in most cases you can find one around the house to help further visualize the content. The ending of the book can be a bit complex even for the adults but that doesnt stop my son from loving me try to explain what is happening.Good Clever books for children and adults Educational whilst fun Consistent theme throughout the seriesBad I m not sure even I understand.I fully recommend this book and the others in the series to any parent or guardian.

Have many others from the same author, although my daughter likes the pictures, I don t find the concept explained as much and as well as in other books.

Loved this book, its a good basic breakdown of organic chemistry Something a little different for me when reading to my baby and hopefully sparks a future science interest.
