{Prime} A Little Stuck Author Oliver Jeffers – Andy-palmer.co.uk

A Little Stuck this book is for children under 3 years old the story is very basic a child trys to throw all sorts of items to get his kite down from a tree.in the end he throws a hand saw and gets his kite back down this was a terrible and boring climax it build up to something exciting and nothing.the worst part is everything else he threw up the tree is left there there is no rhyming or play with words no wit for kids tbh its not worth 5 pounds Me encanta Historia muy divertida Esta versi n en cart n es perfecta para los m s peque os. I ve bought several Jeffers books for my now 4 year old grandson and I love reading them with him He can be a little serious, but this book made him start giggling from the beginning, leading to full on laughing the I read He wanted me to read it again immediately, and seemed to find it even funnier the second time He couldn t seem to stop thinking and talking about all the things stuck in the tree and was very keen to tell his Mum later, laughing as he told her all about them I ve spent a fair amount of time with my grandson over the last four years, and I ve never seen him react to a book or toy with such sheer joy.I normally rotate the several books I read to him, but today he greeted me at his house with Did you bring the Stuck book because I want to read it every day forever Up to now his favourite funny books have been the Dinosaurs in the Supermarket School , but his reaction to Stuck has far exceeded those.Oliver Jeffers has written wonderful books, but I wish he would write at least one as humorous as this one. From the illustrator of thesmash The Day the Crayons Quit comes another bestseller a giggle inducing tale of everything tossed, thrown, and hurled in order to free a kite When Floyd s kite gets stuck in a tree, he s determined to get it out But how Well, by knocking it down with his shoe, of course But strangely enough, it too gets stuck And the only logical course of action is to throw his other shoe Only now it s stuck Surely there must be something he can use to get his kite unstuck An orangutan A boat His front door Yes, yes, and yes And that s only the beginning Stuck is Oliver Jeffers most absurdly funny story since The Incredible Book Eating Boy Childlike in concept and vibrantly illustrated as only Oliver Jeffers could, here is a picture book worth rescuing from any tree Oliver Jeffers is proving himself to be one of the most popular children s authors since the distinguished and ever prominent Julia Donaldson His construction of humourous stories will appeal to adult readers as much as his quirky drawings will appeal to little ones This story is particularly quirky It tells the story of a boy who gets his kite stuck in a tree and, in order to dislodge it, he throws up bigger and elaborate things Without giving away the story, let s just say a whale, some ladders and a neighbours house are involved Definitely worth reading and treasuring.
