The idea of the book is great My child seems to be really interested in putting buttons on the spots. However, like many other reviewers mentioned, the execution is poor The ribbons are tangling easily and its pretty time consuming to untangle them A few buttons fell off I would buy this book again if they improved the way it works. First, YES the ribbons get tangled It is pretty annoying I almost tossed the book, but then decided to instead cut all the buttons off I keep them in a ziploc bag and when my toddler wants to play with them, we pull them out Glad I kept the book because she LOVES playing with it and counting together. super cute book, bigger than I thought and still trying to figure out how to keep all the buttons in the book and from bulging out but my daughters love it So worth the money Big thick and well made My granddaughters Mom is a Special Ed teacher who attended a seminar and this book was recommended Our Angel just loves it I bought this for my 2 year old We used to read it every day She likes it, but the only problem the buttons don t stay in place very well so it makes her so mad Once she gets over that we are fine The button ribbons tangle very easily as well which adds to meltdowns so the book is put away for a little while A nightly favorite The ribbons get tangled but it s worth it My boys love this book Ages 4 2 This is a great book for the airplane ride, because the buttons are attached to the book with strings The buttons are large, so the child cannot put them in the mouth This combines a puzzle sticking buttons into holes , a counting book, colors book and a creative outlet because buttons are different colors, the child can create different pictures The book is rather heavy, but I find it worth bringing on the plane, because it entertains for at least an hour if not longer, and it s easy to retrieve if it happens to fall on the floor.I would recommend it for children 2 4 years of age. My grandkids love it It needs a little untangling, but what the heck
